To strengthen our team in Greensboro, we are looking for an experienced and dedicated Press Machine Operator in our Flexo Department!


The P5 Operator position requires that all Operators be able and willing to produce a quality product in a safe and efficient manner while abiding by all S.O.P’s (Standard Operating Procedures) and W.I.’s (Work Instructions). Press Operator duties include but are not limited to: reading, understanding, and being able to properly fill out all required paperwork, meeting all inspection criteria of product as well as company equipment, proper flagging of rolls, properly setting print impressions as well as die impressions, cleaning and caring for plates, maintaining inks, calculating linear footage, proper handling and caring for raw materials as well as precise accountability of material usage.

THIS POSITION WILL BE FROM 5P-5A ON A 2-2-3 ROTATING SHIFT

Your Role
The P5 Operator should be able and willing to do the following:

  • You will maintain a clean and safe work environment in and around area at all times
  • You will perform proper area clearance before and after each job
  • You will need to read and comprehend information in each job ticket
  • You will perform proper inspections of work area and equipment
  • You will run complex print jobs, high color, multiple substrates, and multi-ply constructions
  • You will perform all necessary Hagen entries for every job ran (make ready, run time, wash up, net and gross quantities ran, job number, etc.)
  • You will insure that goals set are met to complete all jobs under estimated time allowed
  • You will be able to make appropriate adjustments to press to achieve a quality product that meets customer standards
  • You will perform all required preventive maintenance requirements

Qualifications for Position

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent verbal, written, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Solid Flexo printing knowledge and skill (3-5 years experience), some which include Mark Andy P5
  • Ability to work in a detailed, fast paced environment
  • Excellent mechanical aptitude
  • Experience in pharmaceutical printing, GMP’s quality systems

Physical Demands for Position:

  • You will be required to stand, walk, touch, and feel keyboards, instruments, and controls.
  • The employee will need to also regularly speak, hear, and follow instructions accordingly.
  • You will need to have 20/20 vision or corrective lenses that meet this requirement.
  • You will be required to regularly lift and handle 35 pounds and up to 50 pounds.
  • You will be also required at times to handle / lift weights exceeding 50 pounds at which time, a lift will be provided. A lift should always be used to carry out such demands.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be onsite in a manufacturing facility
